Just a quick update that Sully started crawling last week! Very exciting. We now have to actually pay attention to where we sit him down to ensure that he isn’t too near cords, outlets, or piles of dirt on the floor that he can then amble toward, pick up and eat. He’s now our little human Swiffer, getting covered in all the dust and cat hair on the floor. We might have to start calling him Pig Pen after the little kid in Peanuts who always has that dust cloud hanging around him.
He also really likes to play with toys where he can put things inside other things and then pull them out again. We are also being more vigilant with giving him “big kid” foods and not just baby food, including soy yogurt (he has a milk protein allergy), canned green beans, peas and carrots (he’s not a fan of the carrots) and meatballs. This has been the first week with all of this, but seems so far, so good. He usually only makes the “What the hell are you feeding me? This is disgusting!” face with the first bite, and then decides he likes it and keeps eating after that.
I can’t believe he’s going to be a year old in a little over a month! Little bugger.

god made dirt and dirt don't hurt. let him crawl in it - it will help build a healthy immune system ;)
