Gabe left last night for Denver. Good news – he now has a fancy-schmancy camera phone with a full QWERTY (i.e. typewriter-like) keyboard, so if he sees any more two-headed girls or other interesting things while he’s on his business trips, he can photograph them for us so we can all be a part of the experience. Isn’t technology great?
I’ve e-mailed with him a few times today, and it sounds like things are going fine in Denver. I think the big crappy part so far was that he didn’t get into Denver until about 11 PM mountain time last night, had to take the shuttle to the rental car place, get his rental car, and then drive 40 miles to his hotel. And then he had to be to work at like 8:30 AM. So, not much sleep to be had, but tonight he is going to catch up with one of his high school and college buddies that lives there, so at least he’ll be able to have something to look forward to! And, he’ll be back again tomorrow night, which is nice.
In two weeks, Gabe has to head out again – this time to visit the Albuquerque and Reno offices. I will be heading down to Portland at the same time he’s gone to those places. Hopefully that will be the last of the traveling for me for awhile (and I don’t think Portland really counts as “traveling,” necessarily, since it’s only a three-hour drive), but it sounds like Gabe may have to be out on the road a bit more in November. I think we’re definitely going to be ending the year on a pretty busy note across both work and home activities!
Oh, and it also sounds like there have been snow storms and other cold and crap weather in the Midwest this week…just thought I’d let you all know that it is currently sunny and 67 degrees here in Seattle. Fall and winter still haven’t kicked in here yet, that’s for sure! Usually it’s 100% cloudy now – even it isn’t raining every day. So, we’re lucking out, for sure. Hopefully all the Midwestern trick-or-treaters won’t be making their way in a snowstorm!
