In Profile: Junior Sandholm

We had our ultrasound this morning, and the Junior Sandholm is doing well! According to the doctor, he is moving around fine and is growing according to plan. He is approximately 4 1/2 pounds now, and likely around 15 or 16 inches long. When I asked the doctor how long he is, he let me know that -- since they can't stretch him out like a rubber band to measure him (No! Really?), that the best rule of thumb is to divide the number of weeks pregnant one is by two, and that is the baby's length. So, with that highly scientific method, we conclude he is 15 to 16 inches long. So much for the advanced ultrasound technology to help determine specific measurements.

Anyways, here is a photo of Junior for your viewing pleasure. Looks like he has all his parts, and the sonographer confirmed that he definitely is a boy. So, feel confident in purchasing any boy-related items should you have been hesitant! We don't have any photos to provide you with evidence (no need to start embarrassing him THIS early :) ), but believe us -- we know he's a dude.
