I was e-mailing with Ms. Sarah Popelka this week, and she asked if we had started a pool yet or were accepting wagers as to when Junior Sandholm would be making his introduction to the world. I hadn't even thought about that, actually, but it sounds like a fun idea! So, we are starting the "Guess Junior's Arrival Date" Sweepstakes. We're going with the sweepstakes model rather than the betting pool where everyone chips in $1 to place a bet because, well, those who may want to participate could be from a number of places, and I don't feel like trying to figure out how to implement PayPal to take $1 bets for a simple little baby due date wagering pool. So, we have a sweepstakes instead.
If you would like to participate, please note what day you think Junior will make his arrival in the comments section of this posting, including date and time. The winner will be the person who picks the right day (obviously), and if more than one of you choose the same day, the person who chooses the closest time to Junior's actual arrival time will be the winner. We will be allowing guesses to be submitted up until Junior makes his arrival, and please only one guess per person.
What will you win, you ask? Well, probably nothing that exciting :)...but, since gift cards are easy to mail, we can probably swing sending a $20 gift card to such amazing retailers like Starbucks or Target. Thrilling, huh? And, no -- Ed McMahon will not be making his way to your doorstep with balloons, video cameras and a large cardboard gift card if you win. We just don't have that kind of budget for this sweepstakes.
And, in case you were wondering, my official due date is December 10. Let the sweepstakes begin!

I think you are going early and not share a b-day month with Uncle Stuart. I choose Nov. 27th 1:10 P.M. He is not going to wake you up in the middle of the night. You kids were all daytime babies.

Most babies are born on Tuesday so my guess is December 12th at 8:32 am. For some reason I think he is going to keep you up all night. Good Luck!
