Ok, so maybe Alistair doesn’t understand that he is wearing the venerable black and gold of the Iowa Hawkeyes, but doesn’t he make a cute model? This jacket and hat were a shower gift Kelly (also pictured here) and her mom whipped up for Junior Sandholm. In addition to the hat and jacket, Kelly also made him a super warm Hawkeye fleece blanket, so Junior is definitely set for this winter! There will be no confusion that he is a University of Iowa Hawkeye, and I can’t wait to see him sporting his Hawkeye gear.
And, don’t worry – Gabe and I will continue our recruiting efforts to ensure Alistair understands that being an Iowa Hawkeye is pretty much one of the coolest things in the world to be, and he would be SILLY to not want to make his way to Iowa City for his collegiate education. Well, for his collegiate education, football, booze, girls and the calzones at Sam’s Pizza. But I think that probably all falls under the category of “collegiate education,” don’t you? :)
